Introduction

Today as you are reading this report you may think for sure that carbon dioxide controls temperature and that the greenhouse gas emissions from our power stations are causing temperatures to rise. A truly admired man once said: "What gets you into trouble is not what you don't know; it's what you think you know for sure that just ain't so"-Mark Twain. About 90% of people have an assumption about global warming that just ain't so. The assumption goes something like this, because we put greenhouse gases into our atmosphere it is causing the globe to warm.

Theory

I'm sure that you know the theory of global warming well, so I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this. The Sun emits lightwaves that warm the Earth, and some of the light waves are re-radiated out back into space in the form of infrared radiation. Although some of the outgoing infrared radiation is trapped by our atmosphere, which keeps the Earth warm. Although supposedly our carbon dioxide emissions thicken this layer of atmosphere and more heat is held in. That's global warming now that's the traditional explanation here's what is thought to be a better explanation:

Now obviously what is shown in this video is a joke. There is another side to global warming that says man is not contributing to it, the side that this site wishes to show you. Below is an article that opposes the assumption man is causing global warming.

Atmospheric Measurements

Scientists who study global climate and carbon dioxide relations drill for ice cores in Antarctica, Greenland, and the mountain glaciers. Ice cores are pieces of ice that can be analyzed to show past and present carbon dioxide and temperature levels. In the movie "An Inconvenient Truth" Al Gore shows a chart that he says suggests temperature is controlled by carbon dioxide. But the real inconvenient truth is that carbon changes came after temperature rose. If you look at the chart below you can clearly see that temperature changes before carbon dioxide.

Carbon Dioxide & Temperature

John Stossel, a reporter on the show 20/20 came out with a report in which he interviews scientists who believe that global warming is not due to mankind, he also presents the side of the argument we support.

John Stossel portrays the correct side of the argument; that temperature rose before carbon dioxide changed, but why? There is a complex relation between the two, and several theories try to tell why temperature changes first. The reason we believe says that when the temperatures get warmer the carbon dioxide becomes less dense and rises slightly into our atmosphere. Now when the snow falls and traps the bubbles of atmosphere in the ice core records there is more carbon dioxide present because there was more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to start with. The opposite happens when the temperature drops. The density of the carbon dioxide rises and when the snow falls and traps bubbles of atmosphere in the ice core records there is less carbon dioxide present. This is because the carbon dioxide was low in the atmosphere or sunk into the oceans.
